About Vivian Silverstein

Vivian Silverstein is a Pet Behaviourist, based in Glasgow, Scotland. She owns and runs The Pet Behaviour Centre.

Vivian holds a COAPE Diploma in Practical Aspects of Companion Animal Behaviour and Training (DipCAPBT). She is a COAPE ASSOCIATION BEHAVIOUR PRACTITIONER (CABP) and COAPE Tutor and is currently Vice Chairman of the committee, helping with the CAPBT Mentoring scheme and the COAPE New Talk forum.

Vivian is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and is also a membership assessor. The Pet Behaviour Centre is the Northern centre for APDT assessments.

Working as an Expert Witness for legal cases that involve dogs has become a regular part of Vivian’s work which includes attendance at courts around Scotland.

Vivian writes a weekly column in the Sunday Mail magazine and is the author of The Greyhound and Lurcher Training Guide: Getting Started. ISBN 0-9551665-0-0

She qualified as a B.H.S.A.I. (British Horse Society Assistant Instructor) in 1978.

After a life long association with dogs, horses and running various businesses, Vivian has acquired many practical skills. However, due to the welcome continual advancement of research, she continues her studies and CPD.
